A simple (maybe) cell shading tutorial for SAI~ xD hope you enjoy it and understand it, cause my english are so bad. ;;3;; I rarely coloring cell-shading using SAI, I always used photoshop. this technique usually I use to make a quick and simple coloring, while phtoshop is for the detailed coloring.
last but not least, I'm still an amateur artist that needs to be critiqued to improved. so, don't hesitate to critique or comment this piece.

Woooh! This is the first time I finally understood the basics of cell shading colouring! I watched a lot of tutorials before this one, but I never get enough infos! insteda yours is perfect, you did it in a simple way so that everyone who is used to different colour techniques can understand! You followed avery single passage ste-by-step adding a lot of sample images and you managed also to disposed them as well to make the reading easier. The colours you choose with background and writings are really well matched and I felt really comfortable while reading it.
Really good job! I hope that this tutorial will help me also in the practice!!
Ah, I loved the tutorial, but I do have a quick question. For the face did you stay on one layer or did you use separate layers for shades and highlights?
hmmm, depends on the canvas size :3 I usually draw in A4 size canvas, as you can see in the tutorial I use 2.3 size brush for lineart, and for the shading just adjust the size that fits the shading area you want. hope it helps
